~ C.E. Schwilk ~ Society, It Smells Like Meat

An omnivore attempting vegetarianism, a writer attempting to get published, just another person just trying to stay out of jail.

About the Blog

Society, It Smells Like Meat gets updated every Friday. Or whenever I damn well get around to it.

This blog is (mostly) about eating vegetarian. I’m really an omnivore, but in the last few years, I have moved toward a more vegetarian diet, leaning toward veganism (I’m lactose-intolerant, so dairy is a vile temptress coated in glorious cheese). Ideally, I’d be a pescetarian, but sulfites in all the seafood would kill my very sulfite-allergic better-half. I don’t have any political agenda in regards to animals – I’m not going to tell you that meat is murder or anything like that. I own a leather sofa and leather shoes. I’m not here to dole out the guilt.

Recipes, photos of my food – or other people’s food – personal cooking stories, and posing food/cooking questions are all you’re going to find here. Also, all of the photos here are my own – taken either by myself or my partner. Please ask before taking.

Thanks so much for visiting and reading. Please feel free to leave me comments – share your recipes and all that! It’s always nice to know what others are thinking. Although if you tell me I’m stupid for being a vegetarian (or that meat is murder), you can go hang yourself.
